Costain-skanska Jv Secures 150m Crossrail Contract
Engineering solutions provider Costain Group, in joint venture with Skanska, has secured a £150m contract to construct the Crossrail Paddington Station. Construction will start in 2011.

Liverpool Train Timetable Changes For Tomorrow
NORTHERN Rail has announced some changes to tomorrow’s timetable.

Most trains will run as normal on the Liverpool to Wigan line although the last trains will be between 6pm and 8pm.

Merseyrail Services Disrupted By Broken Down Train
RAIL services between Wirral and Liverpool were severely hit yesterday afternoon when a technical fault on a train caused the entire city centre loop line to shut down for 90 minutes.

Selby Rail Commuters Left Stranded After Power Failure At Thorpe Willoughby
COMMUTERS were left stranded at Selby train station after a power failure at the level crossing at Thorpe Willoughby.

Snow Delays Harrogate Rail Station Opening
The railway station in Harrogate was unable to open on time on Christmas Eve as the person with the building's keys was snowed in, Northern Rail said.

New Sunday Services For Rail Line
Sunday services are to be introduced on the only Greater Manchester railway line currently without them.
